Dungeons
In Battle of the Immortals, dungeons offer players an area to face both increased challenges and rewards. It is within these zones that you can find elite monsters, indomitable bosses, and PvP combat. This guide will give you a basic overview of the types of dungeons you can expect to find in Battle of the Immortals.
Open Dungeons
Open dungeons are those that function like any other zone on the map. To enter them, just click on the transition portal that leads to the zone. However, make sure you meet the minimum level requirement to enter, because unlike the normal areas, these dungeons are filled with elite monsters. Elite monsters are much stronger compare to their normal counterpart, but in return they provide more EXP as reward.
Venturing into an open dungeon is a good way to quickly gain experience, especially if you in a party. A good party can make each trip smoother and faster. Example of some open dungeons are Dragon Emperor's Crypt, Rocky Abyss, and Soulbound Crypt. As you level up more and more dungeons will become available so keep your armor maintained and your weapon sharp!
Arena Zones
Some levels of open dungeons are classified as Arena Zones. Unlike most areas, which are protected Safe Zones, Arena Zones allow you to participate in combat against other players (PvP). Enter these zones at your own risk, because you never know what will be waiting for you on the other side. Some Arena Zones include the deepest levels of the Soulbound Crypt, Dragon Emperor's Crypt, and all four levels of Angkor Temple.
Instanced Dungeons
In addition to open dungeons, Battle of the Immortals also features another type of dungeon called instances. Instances often have quests associated with them, and involve a number of boss fights to complete. Early on, you will have access to the Knight's Jail, which is a beginner friendly instance dungeon. Upon completion it will reward you with Stamps of Promotion that can be used to buy high-quality set gear.
Unlike open dungeons, which can be entered with or without a party. To enter an instance, you must be a member of a party (Even if the party is just you). To enter, the party leader must speak with the associated NPC with all of the party members nearby. Once the instance is selected all associated party members will be transferred inside. Usually, most instances will require you to have a party of at least 3 players, although a few dungeons exist with an even lower requirement.
Most instances have a maximum number of attempts per day you can enter them, but if you own an Elite Pass for that instance (Elite Pass can be acquired from the Marketplace), it will allow you to enter as many time as you would like (Each entry will cost one pass). Elite versions of an instance is tougher than normal, but it has a higher chance to drop better loot.
Event Dungeons
Lastly, a few dungeons are only accessible as part of certain event. Nearly all of these dungeons are instances, and are accessible only by speaking to an NPC during the scheduled time. View the event window located underneath your mini map in the top right hand corner for a list of the events.
